I’m sure you remember LaCrecia Steward from our 2022 edition. In her article she talked about her lash school Lash Studio 214 Beauty & Training Academy. She talked about everything she accomplished as an entrepreneur prior to 2022. Now LaCrecia wants to share with us what she accomplished last year and what she has in store for 2023.

Just to recap, Lash Studio 214 Beauty & Training Academy is a cosmetology school based in East Texas. The studio specializes in professional lash extension training. After completing and passing courses students officially become licensed as a lash tech in the state of Texas. 

2022 was a great year for LaCrecia. Her studio had a 100% pass rate and graduated 70 students! She also was able to add an additional State Board Prep class to her academy. This class is for students to strengthen their board exam skills giving them the tools and confidence they need to pass the state board exam. Students that were unable to pass the exam while attending other institutions may find interest in taking the course.     

Another course that was added was the Beauty as a Business mini class. This course is a class within a class that goes more in depth into the lash business. It caters to helping you deal with the frustrations that come with the lash business. Students will also learn about business credit, reaching long term goals, how to start a product line and more.

LaCrecia contributes her success to making sure her instructors were equipped with proper training and knowledge to educate students. Encouragement is also a tool that is used. Lacrecia and faculty make sure they take time to encourage students to do their best and to never give up. She believes all her students have the capability to accomplish and achieve great things. 

When you graduate from the Academy you get all the bells and whistles you’d get from a traditional university graduation. During the graduation, graduates receive certificates of completion and are able to invite family and friends to watch them walk across the stage. Most graduates end up owning their own lash business or choose to work in commission based shops. 

In 2022 Lacrecia learned that taking care of herself is just as important as taking care of her business. Many entrepreneurs put their well being on the back burner in order to cater to their business. In order to have a thriving business you must be your best self. Your business can not become successful without you. She has learned to take care of herself mentally and physically as well as cherishing time with her family.

Now, Lacrecia is working on improving Lash Studio 214 Beauty & Training Academy. She plans on continuing to educate the state of Texas. Giving students an alternative to traditional beauty schools.
